Today marks the 5th anniversary of Iamnotacleverpony releasing the song that is considered to be the starting point of it all: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf0tYs…
Made a quick little tribute for it. In this image: We have the first(?) NLR logo made by
, and the S1 Luna salute vector by 
to represent the beginning. On the other side the more recent NLR logo by 
, and a S3 Luna vector by 
to represent the present. And finally the NLR shield, who's original creator has been lost to the time.
I thought the whole NLR/SE thing was dying down, but as I type this, Equestria Daily has a poll going on for Equestria factions, in which the NLR is completely dominating: www.equestriadaily.com/2016/04… , so it looks like the princess of the night is still as popular as ever.
Sure some people hate the whole thing, but you can't deny we got (and continue to get) some outstanding art, music, and fanfics from the trope.
Here's hoping for another 5 years of resistance, and of course 5 more years of pony.
