Finally got this one finished. If I get the ok to use it, i'll make a slightly larger version that includes a Luna vector. For now though it's just the planes and insignia. Yes I did make one plane and used it 3 times. However each time I reduced a plane to get the perspective right they became distorted, which required going back and redoing the lines. Plus one had to be colored differently.
From what I understand they're the top aces of the NLRAF, flying prototype fighters. (their most popular ones seem to be modified Su-37s, but they've been known to use other planes, such as the YF-23A and F-15S/MTD) Their leader, Wind Shear, has over 200 kills. Even her own squadronmates are afraid of her. Right now they're rumored to be protecting some NLR superweapon.
Contrail: I just might, my friend. Thanks to the idiotic leaders (Celestia not included) that I must follow, my loyalty to the Empire is beginning to weaken. Not long ago, I would never have considered defecting, but now the idea doesn't sound so bad... Besides, we're both fighting the same two forces when we're not squabbling amongst each other, so what difference would it make if I fought for Luna instead? And I'll have you know that not all of us Imperial pilots are bloodthirsty warmongers. Every pilot I've shot down has been given a chance to at least bail out. I don't think I could live with killing a fellow Equestrian, even if they are on the other side.
