Railfan Trip: 9-30-17: Soarin'

After eating we headed north of Grandview to catch the next southbound. Our plan was to try and catch it crossing one of the concrete arch bridges over roads on this part of the line, and hope we didn't get called in as terrorists by the paranoid public (my friend tried it many years ago and the cops showed up and gave him the "terrorist treatment").
My friend took the wrong turnoff though, and instead of a concrete arch bridge we found this huge viaduct over E. 63rd st. trafficway. The only place to park was the driveway to a ready mix plant, but with the train getting closer we decided to go Leroy Jenkins, park there, and head to the median to catch it. It showed up and we got the shots.
 Just a few minutes after we got into the car and were ready to leave some cops went by. By then we just looked like someone who pulled over to talk on the phone or something so they didn't even bat an eye.
